Construction Foreman

We recently built a deck onto the back of our house and Katadin really enjoyed supervising our work:

Not quite a mountain, but Katahdin loved climbing the 7.5 tons of gravel in our driveway

Inspecting the joists

"My work is done here, time to enjoy the new deck!"

Being a construction worker is a dirty job - time for a bath!

Happy Easter! and Opening Day!

Katahdin enjoyed his first Easter with his mom and dad and extended family- Cait, Lise, Poppy, Uncle Bill, Jay, Vanessa, medium Jay, Noah, and Cheyenne.  He absolutely LOVED the egg hunt, the hike, and playing baseball.  He also enjoyed a big family sleepover the night before.  Most importantly- he celebrated the Red Sox Opening Day by chewing a celebratory baseball at the park!

Obedience Class on a beautiful day

Hello everyone!
Katahdin enjoyed his first group obedience class this weekend with friend and trainer- Nicole from Simply Canine Dog Training:)  He met dogs of all ages and sizes.  Friends included a german shepard, a yorkie, a chiuaua, an australian shepard, and a collie!  He did very well with listening to his commands of sit, wait, and heel.  A lot of the work we did was getting your dog to stay sitting until you say their release word, even when it is most tempting to run up and greet someone walking by or another dog.  It was great to practice this.  Another highlight was practicing walking with a loose leash with your dog at your side.  At the end we had a relay race and a contest.  He did very well and came in second.  Not bad for being the youngest dog in the group!  Here are some pictures from our romp after class!

Dining Out!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather today and invited Katahdin to join us on the patio at Chipotle. This is a common dining spot for mom and dad, so we were thrilled that our little man enjoyed it.

Later, Katahdin joined us for a trip to Webster, MA to pick up a few bags of Timberwolf. He was pretty amazed by the pallets of his favorite food; he was basically in puppy heaven! The owners were wonderful and gave him several "free samples," which he loved.

Katahdin Goes to School

Two weeks ago, Katahdin stopped by to visit his mom at school in Boston. He met 75 elementary school students, parents, several teachers and even the principal! He was on his best behavior and was very calm and gentle with the kids.
